  1. 86400 Seconds To Hours
  2. 86400 Seconds In A Day
  3. 86400 Seconds Song

*I started this post several weeks ago before it turned cold outside–so the last week reference is not really last week. Since then I have not been doing my walking like I am suppose to. Got to get back to walking again!! Trying to clean out sunroom to get to the treadmill then at least I will feel like I am outside.

Last week when I was doing my highly doctor recommended 30 minutes of walking which I try to do almost everyday. As I was switching through songs, Kris Allen's Live like we're Dying. caught my eye. As I was listening to the lyrics tears started to form in my eyes. I was really listening to the words. They have a different meaning to me today than they did when the song first came out. A fun catchy song that I just sang along to. Now as I read the words I really have to think about what all they mean.
Live like we're dying by Kris Allen
Sometimes we fall down and can't get back up
We're hiding behind skin that's too tough
How come we don't say I love you enough
Till it's too late, it's not too late
Our hearts are hungry for a food that won't come
We could make a feast from these crumbs
And we're all staring down the barrel of a gun
So if your life flashed before you, what would you wish you would've done

This conversion of 86,400 seconds to minutes has been calculated by multiplying 86,400 seconds by 0.0166 and the result is 1,440 minutes. 86,400 seconds in other units 86,400 seconds in days 86,400 seconds in hours. Why is 86,400 written as 8.64 x 10 4 in scientific notation? The purpose of scientific notation is for scientists to write very large, or very small, numbers with ease. Calculating scientific notation for a positive integer is simple, as it always follows this notation.

[Chorus:]
Yeah, gotta start
Looking at the hands of the time we've been given here
This is all we got and we gotta start thinkin' it
Every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying
We only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we're dying

86400 Seconds To Hours

And if your plane fell out of the skies
Who would you call with your last goodbyes
Should be so careful who we left out of our lives
So when we long for absolution, there'll be no one on the line

Yeah, gotta start
Looking at the hands of the time we've been given here
This is all we got and we gotta start thinkin' it
Every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying
We only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we're dying

Like we're dying
Oh, like we're dying
Like we're dying
Oh, ike we're dying

We only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we're dying

You never know a good thing until it's gone
You never see a crash until it's head on
All these people right when we're dead wrong,
You never know a good thing till it's gone

Yeah, gotta start
Looking at the hands of the time we've been given here
This is all we got and we gotta start thinkin' it
Every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying
We only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we're dying

Like we're dying
Oh, like we're dying
Oh, like we're dying

We only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we're dying
It made me stop and think what I really take for granted and what I am thankful for. Since January I have thought a lot about my life expectancy something I never really thought of before. I know we are all going to die someday, but when you are healthy you don't put a time limit on it. Not that we ever know the time and day we are going to die, but I have a daily reminder everyday when I take that chemo pill that my life may be falling like the sands through a hourglass. But each day when I wake up I get to turn it over and live a new day. When you look at the song and he says we only have 86,400 seconds in a day it really makes you think that days go by quick, that we do not have unlimited time even when you are healthy you hink you will live forever. Nobody is guaranteed they will live forever on earth. The only thing we can hope is to live our lives the best we can and be granted eternal life with God our Father. So what do I take for granted. I know I take a lot for granted. Even when I got pregnant with John my youngest the thought went through my head what are we doing? We have 3 healthy children. I am 41 years old, all the odds are against having a healthy child. I did know that Todd and I had been wanting another child and after 5 years I had thought we were finished with 3 kids. Was I being selfish wanting another child when so many people try and try and do not have kids. So when I got pregnant with John it was really a surprise, a happy one, but a surprise. I know my mom was worried because of my age I was 40, but I know God would not give me more than I could handle. I had faith that everything would be ok with John. I was more worried about having twins at my age which I would have been happy to have. Now we are truly blessed with 4 healthy kids. Some days I think God really test me with John because he is really a handful. All Boy!! Now there are days that I just can't keep up with him. I feel guilty because I feel like he is not getting the best of his mommy. He has a sick mommy even though he is really to young to know what is going on. That is the thing about kids their love is so unconditional that it is easy to take them for granted. They love us not matter what. There is nothing I would not do for my kids. I love them more than anything. I fight everyday to beat this awful cancer to be able to spend the time I have with my kids and family. 'Now I'm alert to God's ways; I don't take God for granted.' Psalm 18:21. I have always loved my kids and Todd. As I look at my life I know I show my kids I love them everyday, I tell them, I hug them, and they know I love them. I know I do not tell Todd enough that I love him. I try, but somedays I know I just do not thank him for what he does for me or just out of the blue say 'I love you'. I have never been an overly affectionate person, except when it comes to my kids. I can love and hug on them and know they will return my affection. Todd is very affectionate and I know I disappoint him cause I do not always return his affection. Now that I feel like I have a time limit on my life I am trying to do better. Like in the song… 'We only got 86, 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we're dying' Should it take getting cancer to make us aware of what we have? No, but it sure is a good wake up call. I do not want to leave this life with my family and friends not knowing the love I have for them. By nature I am a terrible procrastinator. I put off everything to the last minute to finish. Cleaning house, laundry, monogramming(when I had my shop) because I think there is always tomorrow. Like Scarlett O'Hara said,'After all … tomorrow is another day.' ( Another one of my all time favorites Gone with the Wind' Do we always have tomorrow? No one knows for sure. In a way I think of my cancer as a blessing. Yes I know that sounds awful, but I also know God has a plan in everything he does is for us.
Ecclesiastes 7:14 MSG :'On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days So that we won't take anything for granted. Stay in Touch with Both Sides' Is that what God is doing for me now? He is giving me good and bad days so I appreciate all that he has given me and to teach me not to take things for granted. I know I have learned so much about myself this past now 11 months. I know I have looked at my faith and my faith has grown stronger. I have people praying for me all over the world and that is amazing. The things I have I know I take for granted a lot. My house, my car, material items I own, and even the food we eat. Even my wedding rings. We are human we like things, 'But things do not get us into heaven. But we need to be thankful for what we have.' Proverbs 27:24 'Don't take them for granted; possessions don't last forever, you know.' Nothing last forever except eternal life. Is that not what we should be working for or trying to achieve. No it is not an easy road. Matthew 19 23-24 '23Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.' That makes it sound almost impossible to get to heaven. Do we have to be perfect? I do not think God expects us to be perfect, but he expects us to do our best, to love each other, to ask for forgiveness. He says to follow the 10 Commandments. Do we take God for granted? Yes! We have a loving and very forgiving God. Do we get set in our ways and forget to put God first, to pray, to study the bible. Yes, I know I do I know I could always do more. Iknow I have put things before God before. Not that we do it on purpose but there are sometimes things get in the way. Do we stop to think, wait I should be going to church right now or I need to stop and pray for everyone that I have said I would pray for today? 'Now I'm alert to God's ways; I don't take God for granted'. Psalm 18:21 Should it take a life threatening illness to put our priorities straight? Of course not, but it sure gets your attention. It got mine pretty quick. Am I a bad person. I think all in all I am a pretty good person. I try to be nice to everyone, I try to raise my children in Godly ways, I pray, I go to church, and I pray for forgiveness. I ask my kids to forgive me a lot when I have lost my cool with them. But thank goodness God knows we are human and will make mistakes and his Son gave us the greatest gift of all… Forgiveness. I am not always going to be perfect no one is or was except Jesus Christ. So we strive to be Christ like? Yes in everything we do. We try our best to live a life like Christ.
1 Praise the Lord.[a]
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
Tonight (remember this is now several weeks after I started this post) I got an email from my dad who received it from his good friend Shad back from his Army days. When I read this it really made me think even more. I would like to share it with you also You may have seen it before, but it goes along with my thoughts and ideas:

86400 Seconds In A Day

SO, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds?

Those seconds are worth so much more than the same amount in dollars.
Think about it and remember to enjoy every second of your life, because
time races by so much quicker than you think.

So take care of yourself, be happy, love deeply and enjoy life!

Here's wishing you a wonderful and beautiful day. Start 'spending'….

'DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT GROWING OLD…!'

SOME PEOPLE DON'T GET THE PRIVILEGE!

Again the 86,400 seconds! I really think I take me time for granted and this is what has be bothering me these several weeks. Yes one of the things most taken for granted is our time. Just think about how your time is used each day! Do you make the most of your time? Do you use your time for the Glory of God. Do you let this day get away thinking there is always tomorrow? I know I am guilty of wasting time. I always find something other than what I really need to be doing. Since I have been diagnosed, I feel like my time is so limited. Not that I am thinking of the end, just that I can only do so much now. I have to plan my time out more than I use to. I use to go and go and go, stay up late, and go the next day without skipping a beat. I required very little sleep. Ok so I still stay up too late, although usually it is not by choice, I have trouble sleeping a lot of nights. So< now by 10:00am I need a nap and usually I fall asleep before that without even knowing it. Getting the kids ready for school wears me out. Some days I roll over and I am out. Like a Mac truck hit me. Todd gets upset because I usually don't even hear the phone ringing. I try to use my time doing things with the kids, for the kids, and for my family. Since I still can not drive I do have a friend who comes and helps me most days of the week. She helps me around the house, pick up the kids, and get them to where they need to be after school. Even with Kelly we still don't get everything done we plan. I am trying to get the house decorated for Christmas and I have one tree done. I am trying to make up some from last year since I only got a tree up with mesh on it and no decorations. Christmas was a blur last year, so this year I want to make it a Christmas to remember! Yes that is a Christmas song–I hear the Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton version in my head one of my favorite Christmas albums) I love music, but especially Christmas music and sometimes listen to it throughout the year. I think I have as many Christmas cd's (I know that is making me sound old) as I do other music. And yes I do know how to download music and I have a lot of downloaded Christmas music.
I kind of got off track there—see that is my problem. Even during the day I am very easily sidetracked. as Todd likes to say I am a good starter not a very good finisher!!! I have the best of intentions. I actually think I have adult ADD.
I do know that everything I am and everything I do I owe to the Lord Jesus Christ. because 'I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.' Philippians 4:13 Even if it is just getting some decorations up, cooking dinner for the kids, or fighting a battle with cancer.
Just because I can not get everything done in the timely matter that I want, I need to let that go. Be happy with what I can get done by myself and enjoy the time I have with my family. and so again to repeat… 'On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days So that we won't take anything for granted. Stay in Touch with Both Sides' Ecclesiastes 7:14 Even God knows we need good and bad days. If it was all good then we would truly never understand what it is to have a great life. You have to have the downs to really enjoy the ups. So I do have some not so good days during this journey and I make sure I make the best of the good days. Yesterday some girlfriends asked me to go to breakfast and then a movie. I started to eat my omelet and then ended up in the bathroom literally losing my breakfast before we left the restaurant. Then we went to the movie and I fell asleep in the movie, miss lmost the whole movie. Guess I'll wait till it comes out on DVD. Even though my breakfast was ruined I missed the movie. I still had a great time getting out of the house, spending time with some friends and we did get a little shopping in. I got a few Christmas presents, so I made the best of my day. It did not go as I had planned, but what really does. I am always having to improvise a little. So even if you are healthy, hurt, or sick like me never take anything for granted, 'Even if you live a long time, don't take a single day for granted. Take delight in each light-filled hour, Remembering that there will also be many dark days And that most of what comes your way is smoke.' Ecclesiastes 11:8 To close it think what God is saying here is again you are going to have good and bad days, but in the big picture the bad days are like smoke It is not the fire so it is not so bad. Nothing in our lives compares to what Jesus Christ did on that cross. All of our illnesses suffering, pain, and unhappy days is nothing compared to Jesus is it just a little smoke not the FIRE!
So in closing 'Do you see what we've got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander.' Hebrews 12:28 We have so much waiting for us when we have our eternal life. Everything in this life is nothing compared to what is waiting for us. We live this life preparing for what lies before us. What we think of as a good day here is nothing compared to everyday with our Father. Do not take what you have here for granted. If we take life for granted now and it is nothing compared to what we have waiting for us Will God let us enjoy the eternal life with him? I think he wants to see if we appreciate what we have here before he lets us have everything. If you appreciate the small things in life and truly appreciate what you have think how grateful you will be when you finally see God the Father and the mansion he has prepared for us.

God Bless you all and I pray you have a very Merry Christmas. Just remember the Reason for the Season.

On another note I am so blessed to not have to go back to my oncologist until 1/8/15 so I can say not till next year. My one year anniversary is coming up. I had my tumor resection done on 12/27/13 and I was officially diagnosed on 1/10/14. I have so much to be thankful for this Christmas and I am going to enjoy every minute of it this year. I am not taking it for Granted!!!

86,400 Seconds

86,400 seconds! That's how many seconds there are in one day (60 x 60 x 24). Out of those 86,400 seconds in each day, do we take even one of them to thank God? People are such ingrates nowadays, which is clearly evidenced by the spoiled attitudes they have. There is a spirit of ingratitude towards God behind feminism, behind the homosexual movement, behind liberal theology, behind the booze industry, behind the abortion industry, behind legalized gambling, etc.

The Bible clearly teaches in Romans 1:21,22... 'Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.' The first step to becoming a fool is to not be thankful towards God. It's all downhill from there! The first thing I do every morning when I awake is thank God for another day. I don't deserve a wonderful God, who loves a wretched sinner like me enough to be crucified for my sins. What a Wonderful and Precious Savior! 1st Peter 2:7 says, 'Unto you therefore which believe he is precious...' Jesus is Precious.

The heathen world doesn't appreciate God, nor the Bible. The Bible is a wonderful gift from God, to guide us spiritually through this dark and lonely world of sin... 'And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not' (John 1:5). Jesus came speaking the truth, and they refused to believe Him, 'And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.' The Bible is nothing more than a religious Book to most people. Oh but it is so much more my friend— the Word of God is Life! It is the very seed by which men are born again, 'Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever' (1st Peter 1:23). What does the Bible mean to you?

86400 Seconds Song

Romans 1:18 is an interesting Scripture... 'For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.' Most sinners know the truth; but don't want the truth. The Gospel has been preached repeatedly throughout most of the world; yet Hell hath enlarged herself... 'Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness' (Isaiah 5:14-16). If Jesus would have spoken lies and been silent concerning sin, then the unsaved heathen would have received His message; but Jesus spoke the truth and they hated him for it... 'The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.'

There is a direct correlation between ingratitude and sin. When a man is genuinely thankful and appreciative towards His Creator, it will naturally cause that man to want to please God. This is the whole reason why God created mankind—to please God, 'Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created' (Revelation 4:11). The selfish world could care less about God or Truth. Tragically, even many professed 'Christians' are cold towards the things of God. The Truth should burn in our hearts as it did in Jeremiah's... 'Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay' (Jeremiah 20:9).

Every believer should continually thank God. Did you ever stop to think just how blessed you really are? Think about how many quadriplegics would give all the wealth in the world just to have what you have... mobility. I dare say even one wouldn't trade all the money in the world just to be able to walk and use their arms. Yet, it's so typical for people to complain and be negative. 'O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so...' (Psalm 107:1,2). God is a good God! So many people take life for granted.

Do you know how many married couples would love to have children, but are biologically unable? MANY! They'd give all the money in the world just to have children. Yet so many parents fail to realize the wonderful blessing from God in their children. Children are a gift from God, entrusted to us by their Creator. Life itself is a gift from God.

Listen friend, if you can walk, talk, see, hear, smell, taste, and think for yourself, then you are truly blessed of God! Of course, nothing means anything if you die and go to Hell for eternity. All that will matter 100 years from now is whether you died in your sin, or in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ye must be born-again! It is God's Simple Plan.

There are 86,400 seconds in a day, have you thanked God with just one of them?

'In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.'
—1st Thessalonians 5:18
